Who are the candidates for breast lift?
Pregnancy, breast feeding, massive weight loss and aging can cause breast sagging. Women who have congenital or acquired saggy-breast deformity, especially women who feel like their breasts look “empty or loose” after breast feeding, are candidates for a breast lift procedure.
How are the breast lift operations performed? How long does it take? How long do I need to stay at the hospital?
Breast lift operations are done in operating theatre conditions, under general anaesthesia. During the procedure, breast size can be reduced, or augmented with silicone implants simultaneously, or may not be changed at all. Breast lift generally takes 2-3 hours, and one night stay at hospital is needed.
How long after breast reduction can I go back to work/school/daily life?
It takes a week to go back to your daily life after the operation.
I’ll come from another city/country. How long should I stay in Istanbul?
A 7-day stay after surgery will be enough.
Can breast lift be done in combination with other aesthetic operations?
Breast reduction operations can be done in combination with other cosmetic procedures such as face lift, tummy tuck, liposuction, rhinoplasty etc.
Does breast lift affect my ability to breast-feed?
The answer to this question depends on the technique and the amount of reduction (if any). In some cases the ability to breast-feed is not affected, while in some others it can be lost. This case-specific issue should be discussed with the doctor before the operation.
