1- Do your research:
Make sure your surgeon is board-certified. Study your surgeon, it is important to know that your plastic surgeon is experienced enough to carry out the treatment/plastic surgery you are seeking. Find out about their education&certifications and if they have recieved sufficient amount of training in the specific area which you are planning to have surgery. Identify the credidentials of your surgeon. This is going to help you to find someone where you will be in good hands. Good news is that, most plastic surgeons in Turkey are well educated.
2- Stay away from celebrity approved surgeons:
Your criteria to decide who will operate you should not be determined by the surgeon’s famous clientele. In fact, most surgeons give away free treatments and surgeries to celebrities, this is how they collaborate. Trust me, if that celebrity is paying for that plastic surgery/treatment, they would definetly not make it seen. Most plastic surgeons in Turkey to love to show themselves off with celebrities, be cautious!
3- Your surgeon should be able to listen to you and should have similar point of view with you:
You should be able to talk to your surgeon openly and have similar sense of aestehtic appeal. You should also be transparent and keep your expectations real while discussing your wishes but at the same time you should listen to his/her advices and let him guide you in your journey to beauty.
4- Your priority should be your health, not your wallet:
You are not just paying for the surgery, you are also paying for the surgeon’s expertise and skills for a great result. Your surgeon is going to spend hours in the operating room sweating to reach the best possible outcome. Remember, you cannot put a price tag for that kind of effort. Finding a cheap package deal is not going to get you the best result. On the other hand, plastic surgery procedures in Turkey are already cheaper compared to Europe due to currency difference anyways. 🙂
5- Before&after photos can be misleading:
Yes, we all decide according to what we see with the outcome of other patients, but this should not be the only factor which helps you decide. That ‘after’ result might fit that patient but it might not look good you. You should listen to your surgeon and let him guide you about your wishes. The before&after photos can also be decieving. They might be photoshopped or the photos might have been taken from different angles.
